What’s Biofilm – and Why Does It Matter?

Biofilm is an invisible layer of bacteria that naturally accumulates on your teeth every day. While it may not be visible to the naked eye, this layer can pose significant risks to your oral health. If left untreated, biofilm can lead to serious issues such as tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath.

Why Biofilm Matters:

  • Tooth Decay: The bacteria in biofilm produce acids that can erode tooth enamel, leading to cavities and decay.
  • Gum Disease: Biofilm can irritate the gums, causing inflammation and potentially leading to periodontal disease if not effectively removed.
  • Bad Breath: The bacteria in biofilm can contribute to persistent bad breath, affecting your confidence and social interactions.

How Airflow® GBT Helps:

Traditional dental cleanings may not always remove biofilm completely, leaving behind harmful bacteria that can continue to affect your oral health. Airflow® GBT is specifically designed to tackle biofilm effectively. Using a gentle and precise method, it reaches every surface of your teeth, ensuring a truly deep clean.

With Airflow® GBT, you can enjoy a healthier smile and peace of mind, knowing that biofilm is being thoroughly addressed. Don’t let biofilm compromise your oral health—book your appointment today and experience the difference!
