Dental Implants
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a replacement for a missing tooth. It is designed to look and function like a natural tooth and has two main parts:
- Crown: The visible part of the tooth above the gum.
- Root (Implant): Sits securely below the gum and replaces the natural tooth root.
The implant is made of titanium, which bonds with your jawbone in a process called osseointegration. This creates a strong and stable foundation for your new crown. With proper care, a dental implant can last a lifetime. Typically, it takes 8–12 weeks for the bone to fully attach to the implant

Missing a single tooth
If you are missing just one tooth, a single implant with a crown is the ideal solution. It is a simple procedure, minimally invasive, and performed by our experienced dental surgeons.
Missing multiple teeth
For several missing teeth, a fixed implant bridge may be the best option.
- Two or more implants are placed in the jaw.
- These implants stimulate the surrounding bone, helping prevent bone loss.
- Crowns are then attached to the implants, with a centre crown sitting over the gums.
This solution is stable, long-lasting, and natural-looking.
