The sun has started shining and Summer 2021 is here!
We have loved being able to see some of our patients again for routine care. Please be reassured that it continues to be safe to see the Dentist, Hygienist or Specialists. Our team are engaging in regular testing and have started the vaccination programme, these are just two of the many measures that help to keep our team safe and provide a reliable service.
We have the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and our team are well-practised in keeping you safe. If you have an appointment booked please make sure you watch our video showing you what to expect here: “The New Normal Video”
We have also updated our “Virtual Tour” enjoy having a look around the practice to see our COVID-secure screen up at the reception and fewer chairs in the waiting areas.
Our current timeframe for your appointments:
-Active patients looking to book their routine appointments allow approximately 16 weeks from the time you get in touch to book. An active patient is a patient who has been to the practice within the last 2 years. If you have not been within the last 2 years your account has been deactivated.
Email us your name and DOB to enquiries@abbeymead.dental
-New NHS sign-ups are now frozen, please keep checking the website for updates. We are hoping to be able to update you again at the end of the Summer.
-New or current active Private patients: 2-3 weeks, depending on your availability, the quickest way to book a private appointment is to call us and speak to our friendly reception team
-Specialist consultations are running as normal. Dr Thomas Norlin, our Cosmetic and Special Interest in Implants dentist has added in some additional clinic dates. If you have any concerns with your smile, email us some photos and we can advise you on the best dentist to see and approximate prices. To see any of our other Specialist Dentists, ideally, a referral from your dentist provides us with all the information we will need to book you in. Alternatively, you can self-refer yourself for a consultation with our Specialists; just drop us an email to enquiries@abbeymead.dental and our Treatment Coordinator will be in touch to arrange this.
– Our Hygienists are now able to do AGP Hygiene appointments again with the Ultrasonic Scaler. To book an appointment with one of our hygienists email us: enquiries@abbeymead.dental
