In October Tina and Matthew, both walked 7km in the Surrey Memory Walk, run by the Alzheimers Society at Painshill Park in Cobham.
Did you know that two-thirds of the cost of dementia is paid by people with dementia and their families? Unpaid carers supporting someone with dementia save the UK economy £13.9 billion a year.
By raising money for this fantastic charity they are supporting research into improving diagnosis, developing new treatment and improving care and support for people living with dementia.
Dementia is one of the causes of disability later in life, ahead of cancer, cardiovascular disease and stroke. Dementia research is desperately underfunded so thank you to Tina and Matthew for taking part in a fantastic charitable walk. They raised £200 for charity and the sun even came out for their walk.
