July 2022 – Abbeymead 13 Mile Charity Trek for the Alzheimer’s Society
In July, the Abbeymead Management Team: Tina, Matthew and Nina all signed up for Trek26 to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. They walked 13 miles through the wild moorland of the Brecon Beacons, past tumbling waterfalls and sweeping mountain slopes. Their route started at Cantref Farm before the 717metre climb up Fan Y Big, then descending Gist Wen with beautiful views across the Brecon Beacons.

In combination with Nina’s donation page, to date, the Abbeymead team have raised £850.
This money will support teams like the Dementia advisors who provide critical support to people throughout their experiences with dementia. For the people living with the condition and their carers, dementia can be a complex maze. With this money raised, they can access expert support over the phone and in person
