As we enter Autumn 2021 we are pleased that so many of our patients who had appointments cancelled due to our 11-week pandemic closure have managed to reschedule their appointments.
We have recently updated our “Virtual Tour”, enjoy having a look around the practice to see our COVID-secure screen up at the reception and fewer chairs in the waiting areas.
Here you will find our current timeframe for your appointments:
- Active NHS patients looking to book their routine appointments allow approximately 16 weeks from the time you get in touch to book. An active NHS patient is a patient who has been to the practice within the last 2 years. If you have not been within the last 2 years your account has been deactivated. - New NHS sign-ups are frozen, please keep checking the website here for updates. We will be reassessing this in January 2022. As soon as we do so the website will be updated.
- Current active Private patients can get in touch via email to book, we are booking approximately 16 weeks ahead, depending on your availability, the quickest way to book a private appointment is to call us and speak to our friendly reception team.
- New patients wishing to join the practice can sign up to our Abbeymead Dental Plan. Our Dental Care Plan is a brilliant way to become a member of the Abbeymead, this way you can secure your place here at the practice and benefit from priority appointments with the dentist and hygienist of your choice. For less than £16 a month you can see the dentist and hygienist twice a year and not have to pay when you come in for these routine appointments. You will also benefit from Worldwide Dental Emergency cover. To sign up please send us an email using the subject “Dental Plan sign up” and we can email you a link where you sign up from the comfort of your own home. Your dental plan will have to be active for 1 month before your first appointment.
- To see any of our other Specialist Dentists, a referral from your current dentist provides us with all the information we will need to book you in. If you have not got this drop us an email to enquiries@abbeymead.dental and our Treatment Coordinator will be in touch to arrange an appointment for you.
